July 30, 2009 - International superstar, Nelly Furtado, will be performing this Sunday, August 3rd in Mexico City’s free concert VIVE Mexico! The concert is part of the Mexican’s government commitment to promote tourism in Mexico after the H1N1 epidemic. The concert will take place in the famous Mexico City landmark “El Angel de La Independencia” in the heart of the city and will have other A-class acts such as Juan Luis Guerra (who also is a featured artist in Nelly’s upcoming album – Mi Plan), Wisin & Yandel, Calle 13, (both of them having had hits with Nelly!) Ruben Blades, David Bisbal, and many more. Expected attendance is 100,000 plus and the concert will be broadcast through EXA FM Radio all throughout Mexico.

This is will be Nelly Furtado’s first performance in support of “Mi Plan”, a full length, Spanish language album, set to be released worldwide on September 14, 2009. Already the first single – Manos Al Aire - is heating up radio charts all around the world, enjoying massive popularity not only in Spanish-language stations, but on crossover and non-Spanish speaking markets, such as Germany and Italy.

Yesterday, July 29th was the worldwide video debut of MANOS AL AIRE and today, Nelly will visit the Alexa Chung Show in MTV.
